Antigone Akgün

Antigone Akgün (*1993 in Frankfurt am Main) is an independent performer, writer and dramaturge. She studied theatre, film and media sciences, classical archaeology, Greek philology and philosophy in Frankfurt am Main as well as dramaturgy at the Hessian Theatre Academy, after she trained as an actress in Greece. In her artistic work, she focusses on the possibilities of achieving structural change and diversification of cultural and art institutions,  and addresses overwriting and expanding eurocentristic perspectives.

Wolfgang Schneider

Wolfgang Schneider is the chairman of the fund for dramatic arts and a board member of the initiative for the archives of independent theatres. From 1997 to 2019, he was professor for cultural policies at the University of Hildesheim. He was the founding director of the KJTZ and in 1991 the first festival director of AUGENBLICKMAL!. Between 1997 and 2018, he was the chairman of the German section of ASSITEJ, between 2002 and 2011 chairman of the international ASSITEJ and now serves as their honorary president. In 2018, he received the Federal Cross of Merit 1. class of the Federal Republic of Germany for his voluntary international commitment issued by the Federal President.
